ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns.
  • Prepare federal and state individual income tax returns.
  • Prepare extensions for corporate and individual returns.
  • Prepare income tax projections for clients.
  • Maintain and update the income tax log daily to ensure accurate monitoring.
  • Prepare property tax returns.
  • Prepare and file form 1099s.
  • Prepare miscellaneous state tax filings as required.
  • Compile external client Point of Sale information and incorporate internal workpapers.
  • Support internal staff by providing timely and accurate assistance.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and communicate them to the Accounting Manager.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience of 3-5 years is required.
  • Experience in preparing income tax returns is required. Experience with Ultra Tax is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the internal and client software systems (Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online, Ultra Tax).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups & Pivot tables) is required.
  • Ability to handle numerous responsibilities and meet deadlines is required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

NOTE: This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
