Position Overview: 

The Sales and Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting our Business Development (BD) efforts and leading marketing initiatives that drive client engagement and company growth. This role will initially combine marketing responsibilities with sales-related tasks, with the long-term goal of transitioning to a fully marketing-focused position as they take over responsibilities currently handled by an external marketing firm.

 

This position requires a strong foundation in marketing, including digital campaigns, content creation, and lead generation, along with a willingness to contribute to sales activities such as cold calling and client outreach. The Sales and Marketing Specialist will play a key role in aligning marketing strategies with business goals and ensuring the seamless integration of marketing and BD efforts.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns to promote services and enhance brand visibility.
    • Mange social media platforms including creating content calendars, posting engaging materials, and responding to audience interactions.
    • Oversee website content, SEO, and analytics to ensure an optimal user experience.
    • Collaborate with the external marketing firm to gradually assume responsibilities such as:
      • Content creation for websites, newsletters, email campaigns, and social media.
      • Campaign management, including lead generation and Salesforce integration.
      • Advertising campaign development and execution (e.g., LinkedIn Ads).
      • Producing marketing materials and videos, such as booth banners, tabletop displays, and client testimonials.
  • Customer Engagement & Business Development
    • Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and training sessions (both in-person and virtual) to build and strengthen client relationships.
    • Assist with sales activities, including:
      • Cold calling potential clients and following up on leads.
      • Preparing proposals, contracts, and other internal sales documentation.
      • Participating in trade shows and client events to foster relationships and promote services.
    • Work closely with the Business Development team to align marketing and sales strategies.
  • Content Creation & Market Research
    • Design and produce marketing materials such as brochures, social media posts, email campaigns, and presentations.
    • Conduct market research to understand client needs and industry trends, presenting findings to inform marketing strategies.
  • Collaboration & CRM Management
    • Collaborate with the sales teams to develop impactful presentation, proposals, and outreach strategies for lead generation and client retention.
    • Maintain and update client databases to support targeted marketing efforts and ensure seamless integration with sales funnel.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing
  • Experience:
    • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, with exposure to sales or business development preferred.
    • Proven success in LinkedIn marketing, advertising campaigns, and content creation.
    • Familiarity with CRM tools and marketing automation platform is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in marketing and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong understanding of social media management, SEO, and website maintenance.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.

 

This is a full-time position with the potential for occasional travel to trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
